PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for re-multiplexing a transport stream in a digital broadcast receiver are provided to enable a user to use various programs at the same time by outputting a plurality of received transport streams to various output units. CONSTITUTION: A digital tuner receives a digital broadcast signal and outputs at least two transport streams. A re-multiplexor receives a plurality of transport streams and processes them into one transport stream. A conditional access unit decrypts a re-multiplexed transport stream outputted from the re-multiplexor. A decoder de-multiplexes and decodes the decrypted transport stream. The re-multiplexor includes a plurality of filters(501-506,511-516), a plurality of processors(531-536) and a multiplexor(540). The filters separate a certain transport packet from the inputted transport streams. The processors process the separated transport packet. The multiplexor reassembles the transport packet processed by the processors and executes a time division multiplexing operation and thereby generates one transport stream.
