WASHING METHOD OF POLYTRIMETHYLENE TEREPHTHALATE POLYMERIZATION APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing method of a PTT polymerization apparatus which permits decrease in the amount of generated wastes and energy consumption at the time of washing and permits polymerization of a polymer of good qualities from just after washing without using a special apparatus for washing. SOLUTION: The melt polymerization apparatus for the polytrimethylene terephthalate is washed in a state where the oxygen concentration in the gaseous phase is kept at 5 vol% or less using trimethylene glycol heated up to at least 150°C and at most a temperature where the vapor pressure is 0.5 MPa.
