PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic attraction offset type linear motor in which a magnetic matter dropping into the linear motor has no risk of being caught in the gap between moving members. SOLUTION: The magnetic attraction offset type linear motor comprises a moving member section 10 having a moving member consisting of a magnetic core and an armature winding, a moving member fixing base 12 for supporting the moving member 13 and a movable table 11 for supporting the moving member fixing base 12, a stator section 20 having a stator base 21 and a field permanent magnet 23 being secured to the stator base 21. The moving member fixing base 12 is formed to have a T-shaped cross-section and the moving members 13 are secured to the opposite side faces of the T-shaped vertical section. The stator base 21 is formed to have a U-shaped cross-section and secured such that the opposite ends of the moving member 13 are fitted in the opening of the U-shaped stator base 21.
