PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding tool of a tire which prevents occurrence of a defective product tire and a loss due to interruption of tire molding equipment. SOLUTION: The molding tool of the tire is equipped with circular side molds 3 and 4 being paired and opposed to each other in the axial direction and a circular tread mold 5 provided on the outer peripheral side of the paired side molds 3 and 4 and forming a tread part of the tire, and the tread mold 5 is composed of a plurality of tread segments 5A disposed in the circumferential direction. At least one end face in the circumferential direction of each tread segment 5A is brought into contact with another tread segment 5A adjacent to that segment 5A and is cut off to a prescribed depth, while a contact face 11 of a prescribed width W formed along an edge part 15 on the tire forming face side 14 is left uncut. Thereby a gap 16 for concentrating the elongation of the tread segment 5A caused by the thermal expansion in vulcanization of the tire is provided between the adjacent tread segments 5A.
