摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a droplet discharging apparatus capable of precisely measuring the weight of droplets discharged from a discharge head with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: A QCM sensor 106 comprises a crystal 110, and electrodes 110a, 110b formed on both the surfaces of the crystal 110. A vibration voltage is applied from a vibration voltage oscillation section 111 to the electrode 110a to vibrate the crystal 110. A measurement section 112 and an arithmetic section 113 detect a change in the resonance frequency of the crystal 110 before and after droplets discharged from the discharge head 103 adhere to the electrode 110b, and measures the weight of droplets adhering to the electrode 110b. Additionally, before droplets are discharged from the discharge head 103 and adhere to the electrode 110b, the discharge head 103 performs flushing (trial coating) to a flushing area 109a for discharging ink which increases its viscosity in the nozzle 123 and a pressure chamber 123.
