PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance usability by simplifying scroll operation for map image. SOLUTION: This navigation system is provided with a touch panel 6 for tracing-operating the map image of the present position, arranged in a screen of a monitor 3 to output coordinate change information, a control processing part 8 for specifying a prescribed direction and a moving amount using the present position as a reference, based on the coordinate change information, to indicate scroll operation for the map image, and for outputting each control signal for a return operation to the initial condition, when a prescribed level of the scroll operation is carried out, and an image processing part 12 for image-processing navigation information, based on the each control signal output from the control processing part 8, to make the prescribed map image displayed on the screen of the monitor 3.
