PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hole plug equipped with a preventing function for water intrusion both from inside and outside of its body member through utilization of the water intruding pressure. SOLUTION: The hole plug is composed of a fitting part 20 to be installed in fitting in a hole 32 bored in the body member 30 and a blocking part 25 having an area and shape able to block the hole 32 and installed rigidly at one end of the fitting part 20. In the blocking part, a seal member is installed endlessly which exerts the waterproofing function for the flow in both directions flowing into and out of the hole in a position outside the hole wherein the function is actuated upon receiving the pressure of the flow. A tight attaching force with pressure contacting acts for water intrusion from either side, in the arrow (a) direction and in the arrow (b) direction as shown in the figure, and the waterproofing function required of a hole plug is secured.
