PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a casting case capable of simply dealing with countermeasures against cavities in a thick part which is integrally formed so as to rise from the outer face of the case in a prescribed direction, regardless of the rising direction of the thick part. SOLUTION: The case 10 is designed to be cast by an aluminum alloy die casting method, and on the outer face 11, the thick part 14 which is columnar-shaped is integrally cast in a manner extending for a prescribed length in a direction nearly orthogonal to the casting mold opening/closing direction of the case 10. This thick part 14, where a bolt hole 17 is machined later, becomes a part to function as a boss 14A. In addition, a recessed lightening part 18 is recess-formed between the outer face 11 of the case 10 and the base end 16 of the thick part 14. Consequently, danger of causing the cavities in the base end of the thickness part 14 where there is fear of causing the cavities and impairing the oil-tightness of the case 10 can be eliminated.
