METHOD FOR PRODUCTION OF ESTER COMPOUND USING CUTINASE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an ester compound without requiring an organic solvent, not requiring or reducing operation for dehydration while sustaining good yield. SOLUTION: The method comprises a reaction of a carboxylic acid and an alcohol in the presence of cutinase and 0.5-8.5 mass.% of water. The method is preferably applied when the carboxylic acid is a polycarboxylic acid, the alcohol is a polyalcohol and the ester compound is a polyester. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
