<p>Disclosed are methods for the production of nucleophilic polyolefins by reacting a graft modified polyolefin, such as maleated polyolefin, with an amine and/or alcohol functional compound, such as an amino-alcohol, under conditions effective to produce a nucleophilic polyolefin having at least one pendant, nucleophilic hydroxyl group, with little or no undesired cross-linking between polyolefins. In one aspect, maleated polyolefin having a relative high density of grafted moieties is used. In another aspect, amino-alcohols having at least two hydroxyl groups per molecule are preferably used.</p> |
