PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing gaseous hydrogen by using hydrocarbons having relatively long carbon chains and easily obtainable in remote districts such as kerosene and gasoline as raw material oil.
SOLUTION: Raw material oil whose boiling point lies in the range of 35 to 320°C and hydrogen are fed and are subjected to hydrocracking in the presence of a catalyst, so that carbon chains are cut, and simultaneously, hydrogenation is caused to produce a hydrocracked gas having a high content of lower saturated hydrocarbons, and thereafter, the obtained hydrocracked gas is subjected to steam reforming. Even when hydrocarbons having relatively long carbon chains and easily obtainable in remote districts such as kerosene and gasoline are used as raw material oil, gaseous hydrogen can stably be produced without precipitating carbon.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
