<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording liquid which gives a colored picture having a good light resistance and is excellent in color reproducibility, and also to provide a water-based inkjet recording liquid excellent in preserving stability. <P>SOLUTION: The subject anthrapyridone compound is represented by formula(1), wherein R<SB>1</SB>, R<SB>3</SB>and R<SB>4</SB>are each a substituent, R<SB>2</SB>is hydrogen or a substituent, n1 is 0-3, n2 is 0-4 and Q<SB>1</SB>is a group of non-metallic atoms required to form a nitrogen-containing 6-membered heterocyclic ring together with a part of N-C=N.
