<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device which can be made small. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical pickup device, a laser beam L emitted from a laser beam source 8 is guided to an objective lens 26 via an optical path, an optical disk is irradiated with the converged laser beam, a reflected light from the optical disk is detected by an optical sensor part, and information is recorded/reproduced. The device is provided with a casing 36 which has an objective lens and reciprocates in a direction toward the rotational center of the optical disk, pickup guide shafts 38 and 40 for guiding the movement of the casing, and a spherical aberration correcting means 50 having an optical component which is moved along the optical path of the laser beam and performs correction of spherical aberration, and the movement of the optical component is guided by the pickup guide shafts. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
