<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent excessive amount of toner from flowing into a developing device, and to eliminate the need of the enhancement of the strength of a toner stirring and carrying mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: The toner cartridge 100 is equipped with a container main body 2 having a bottom wall 4, a toner discharge aperture 24 formed on the bottom wall 4, a shutter member 30 opening/closing the aperture 24, and the toner stirring and carrying mechanism 60 rotatably disposed in the main body 2. The mechanism 60 is equipped with a spiral blade 64 disposed on a rotary shaft 61 and a toner supply roller 63 composed of urethane foam rubber. The roller 63 is arranged to cover the upper end of the aperture 24.
