<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inspect the slit width of a tuning fork type terminal in the terminal containing section of an electric joint box being mounted in an automobile. <P>SOLUTION: A tuning fork type terminal for pressing a tab to be connected between clamping parts projecting from the opposing surface of a slit having a forward end cut in the center and being inserted with the tab is contained in the terminal containing section, and the slit width at the clamping parts of the tuning fork type terminal is inspected by inserting a slit gauge from a terminal hole provided at the forward end of the terminal containing section. A wide hole part is provided in the rectangular terminal hole by enlarging the opposite short sides at the slit gauge inserting position so that the slit center position of the tuning fork type terminal coincides with the central position of the slit gauge even if the tuning fork type terminal is located in the terminal containing section at a position most shifted from the central position thus ensuring accurate inspection of the slit width. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
