摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflector for a flash discharge tube constituted so that desired light distribution characteristic and sufficient center light quantity can be secured even when it is thinned by simple constitution. SOLUTION: The reflector 12 for a flash discharge tube whose cross section perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of a slender flash discharge tube 11 has cross-sectional shape curved to surround the flash discharge tube 11 and whose inner surface is formed as a reflection surface is constituted so that the cross-sectional shape is formed to be extended to be recessed gradually from the flash discharge tube side to an open end, and extended in horn shape forward from its middle inflection point 12a.
