PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a regulator circuit superior in design, cost and production, which can shorten the rise time of output voltage and reduce the current consumption, without greatly changing the conventional circuit structures. SOLUTION: The regulator circuit 100, which generates a specified output voltage from an input voltage, has an output transistor 25 that outputs an output voltage (Vout), an output voltage detection circuit 30 that detects the output voltage for feedbacking it, and a differential amplifier 20 that compares the feedback output voltage from the output voltage detection circuit 30 with a standard voltage, to control the output voltage. In addition, the regulator circuit 100 also has a current source 40, that makes a bias current 41 for deciding control for the differential amplifier 20 flow, a control signal 60 inputted for controlling the bias current 41, and a control signal line 61 for the control signal 60. An edge detection means 70 is provided at the control signal line 61, and the bias current 41 is controlled, using a signal detected by the edge detection means 70. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
