PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst compound hardly deposited in a polyester, reducing yellow color of the obtained polyester, and providing excellent reactivity at the production of the polyester; and to provide a polyester composition improved by using the catalyst compound. SOLUTION: The alkoxide compound contains a metal element having≥0.85 catalytic activity parameter (W) obtained from a13C-NMR spectrum to dimethyl terephthalate.
