PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing tape which can be applied with high adhesive force to a discontinuous part of a steel plate having an oil film on the surface thereof and can impart good boring-preventive property, waterproof property, rustproof property, dustproof property or the like to the discontinuous part. SOLUTION: The sealing tape used for sealing the discontinuous part of an adherend composed of the steel plate having the oil film on the surface thereof comprises a sealing layer comprised of a thermosetting resin composition which, by heating, self-melts to seal the discontinuous part and is cured and a barrier layer comprised of a plastic film which can be softened but neither melts nor flows at the self-melting temperature of the sealing layer.
