PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite container comprising a plastic container easily released from a mold and made at a low cost and an outer sheathing capable of being firmly fixed on the plastic container and easily separated from the plastic container. SOLUTION: The composite container 1 is composed of the outer sheathing (20) mounted and fixed on a cup-like plastic container (10). The height of part of an engagement protrusion (11) formed on the plastic container which part can interfere with a protrusion of the mold when the plastic container molded by a sheet molding method or the like is released from the mold is restricted within a predetermined range to facilitate the release from the mold. Moreover, by providing a bore (21) to be fitted with the protrusion on the outer sheathing, the outer sheathing is engaged with the plastic container by fitting the protrusion in the bore to firmly secure the engagement of the plastic container with the outer sheathing.
