A device for obtaining an automatic ignition advance for an internal-combustion engine comprises a voltage generator 2 which is arranged to furnish a first voltage which increases with the angular separation between a reference position of the engine flywheel and the actual position of the flywheel, a tacho generator 3 which furnishes a second voltage which depends on the speed of rotation of the engine and an impulse generator 7 having a first terminal to which the first voltage is applied and a second terminal to which a second voltage is applied the impulse generator being adapted to produce an ignition impulse when the first voltage attains a predetermined proportion of the second voltage. The impulse generator may comprise a transistor of the NPN type (not shown) the base of which is connected to the cathode of a diode which is also connected to the voltage generator. The emitter of the transistor is connected to the tacho generator. |
