An injection molding machine is provided with a plurality of temperature sensors for temperature detection at a plurality of positions on a heating cylinder provided with a heater. A control device controls input to the heater by selectively using temperature detection values outputted from the temperature sensors. Therefore, the temperature distribution of the heating cylinder can be accurately set or changed.
