METHOD OF DISPLAYING EPG INFORMATION USING A MINI MAP TO DISPLAY THE EPG INFORMATION DESIRED BY A USER THROUGH THE MINI MAP

PURPOSE: A method of displaying EPG(Electronic Program Guide) information using a mini map is provided to display the EPG information desired by a user through the mini map according to classification, such as a genre, a grade and image quality, thereby enabling the user to recognize a relative position of a currently watched program easily through the EPG represented by the mini map. CONSTITUTION: A mini map(410) is displayed on a part of a screen of a digital broadcast receiver. A certain item in certain classification of all programs is selected by a user. A result filtered according to the selection of the user is displayed at the mini map. The mini map is comprised of cells that represent each of the programs and formed on a two-dimensional plane with a channel and a time period as axes.
