It is intended to provide a novel immunological gene therapy method that is efficacious not only against a treated tumor but also in treating a metastasis lesion and inhibiting tumor metastasis and an antitumor agent and a kit for performing this method. A method of treating a tumor or a metastasis tumor or inhibiting tumor metastasis characterized by comprising cotransferring both of (a) a cytotoxic agent and (b) a cytokine gene inducing and/or activating Thl cells into tumor cells and inducing an antitumor immune response; an antitumor agent; a kit; and use of the cytotoxic agent and the cytokine gene as described above for producing an antitumor drug.
