FIELD: textile industry. ^ SUBSTANCE: scarf is composed of first and second fabric layers, which are embedded into one another along their edges. Scarf has predetermined color and/or pattern formed by weft threads, which are thrown in spaced relation between single-color warp threads, with textured thread of chemical filaments being used as warp threads. Scarf is manufactured on single weaving machine from two webs processed in parallel with one another and arranged one aside another. Scarves connected in such a manner are further cut from one another along their longitudinal edges by means of cutter mechanism. Weaving machine has gap forming mechanism, weft layer with thread withdrawal device, fabric spreader, longitudinal cutter mechanism, ready articles discharge device and computer control system. ^ EFFECT: improved appearance of fringe on transverse edges of article. ^ 31 cl, 9 dwg |
