EXTERNAL PREPARATION FOR SKIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external preparation for skin having enhanced antipruritic actions and moisture retention and to provide a method for enhancing the antipruritic actions and moisture retention of the external preparation for the skin.

SOLUTION: The external preparation for the skin having the further enhanced antipruritic actions of an antipruritic agent and moisture retention of hyaluronic acid is obtained as follows. A tocopherol derivative is further used with the external preparation for the skin prepared by formulating the hyaluronic acid and the antipruritic agent and having remarkably suppressed drying of skin and pruritic feeling in combination. The method for enhancing the antipruritic actions and moisture retention by using the tocopherol or its derivative, hyaluronic acid or its salt and the antipruritic agent in combination is provided. The external preparation can be applied to any sites if in the case of the skin and can suitably be used even in delicate sites with a thin horny layer of the skin and easily affected by irritation or affected regions subject to high humidity.
