<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for allowing users to receive point deductions based on the number of points that each user obtained from the amount paid at a point-deduction store designated by the user, while integrating the points provided by a plurality of point providers designated by the user. <P>SOLUTION: The point deduction system comprises a settler, a point provider, and users connected to one another by a network. When the settler receives requests from a user to designate a point-deduction store and the kind of points and if the store where the user did shopping belongs to designated point-deduction stores, the point provider is asked about the balance of designated points and asked to calculate the points to be deducted. Based on the balance of points and the calculated points to be deducted which are received from the point provider, a sum that will result when a sum to be deducted as points is subtracted from a sales amount as an amount claimed to the point-deduction store is calculated and charged to the user. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
