<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headlight device for a vehicle of the navigation cooperation control type, which can secure proper visual field in front of a traveling vehicle, irrespective of the accuracy of electronic map information or the road structure. <P>SOLUTION: The headlight device for vehicles 1 is equipped with road data output means 20, designed to output road data showing the structure of a road, constituting the driving course of a vehicle 100; a first swivel unit 11 for adjusting the optical axis direction from a headlight lamp 110; a second swivel unit 12 for adjusting the optical axis direction from a headlight lamp 120; and a light distribution control ECU30 designed to separately control swivels 11 and 12. The light distribution control ECU30 is arranged to implement navigation cooperation control, to adjust only the optical axis direction of the headlight lamp along the road direction, calculated based on the road data by controlling the first swivel unit 11, independently from the second swivel unit 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
