PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deaeration method for a powder raw material in HIP (Hot Isostatic Pressing) treatment where deaeration for a powder raw material can sufficiently be performed even if a vessel filled with the powder raw material is long or large scale. SOLUTION: In the deaeration method for a powder raw material in HIP treatment where the powder raw material 4 is subjected to hot isostatic pressing in a HIP treatment vessel 1, the powder raw material is filled so that a communicated space 5 is left over the whole length at the inside of the HIP treatment vessel 1, and the HIP treatment vessel 1 is deaerated from a deaeration tube 2 communicated with the space 5.
