PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED display unit which can be reduced in the loss of a voltage dividing circuit for preventing dark lighting. SOLUTION: The LED display unit is constituted by connecting a current limiting impedance and a voltage dividing resistor in series between power source terminals and connecting an LED display element in parallel to the voltage dividing resistor. When the voltage applied to the LED display unit is higher than a regulated voltage, the voltage dividing resistor is disconnected from the LED display element and when the voltage is lower than the same, the voltage dividing resistor is connected in parallel to the LED display element.
