PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide particles for a display device having excellent display characteristics under repeated operation for a long period of time. SOLUTION: The particle for the display device contains a base particle and a surface layer covering the base particle, has a color, and is positively or negatively charged by external stimulus.
