ENGINE LUBRICATION STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine lubrication structure capable of introducing oil in an oil sump to an oil pump in structure for reducing the number of parts and improving assembling performance. SOLUTION: A crankcase to rotatably support a crankshaft is composed of a pair of case halves coupled with each other at mating surfaces along a plane perpendicular to an axial line of the crankshaft. The oil sump is formed over the mating surfaces at a lower part of the crankcase under the crankshaft, and a pump chamber of the oil pump that sucks oil from the oil sump is formed between the case halves on both sides of the mating surfaces in this engine lubrication structure. A passage groove 116 to form an oil suction passage 115 to connect the oil pump to the oil sump 82 between the case halves 17 and 18 on both sides of the mating surfaces 19 is provided on at least either of the case halves 17 and 18.
