PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint device for ceiling capable of absorbing mutually different left-right/front-rear shaking motions of right and left buildings caused by an earthquake even if there is no large space between the ceiling member and the ceiling frame body. SOLUTION: The joint device for a ceiling is constituted of a ceiling joint cover fixed to the frame body of the other building at the rear end part, where the joint section side ceiling member and the distal end of a building are superposed with each other by a specified distance and the edges are formed on either upper or lower sloped face so as to have a play to the side wall part, an end part ceiling joint cover having a slide movable slant face upward or downward by a slant face of inclined part of the ceiling joint cover by a pushing pressure of the side wall of one building, which can cover the space formed by the side wall side inclination of one building of the ceiling joint cover, the end part ceiling joint cover support implement attached to the other building frame body supporting the end part ceiling joint cover and supporting upward or downward slidably, and an urging structure normally urging the loose end of the end part ceiling joint cover to the side wall direction of one building.
