PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems such that in a treating process of pickling root vegetables, since e.g. a daikon (Japanese radish) has different sizes and lengths, they are cut in a prescribed length in general for subjecting them to the pickling treatment or sales treatment; in such case, e.g. while conveying the pickled daikon by a conveying device and holding each one of them with a holding device, in the case of cutting it by a circular saw-shaped cutter, the pickled daikon must be held surely and supplied in a right angle-crossing state against the conveying direction; also in many cases, the cutting by the circular saw is not hygienic because of rust, etc., and receives a large cutting resistance, the cutting posture of the pickled daikon is easily disturbed and the accurate cutting is hardly maintained. SOLUTION: This constitution of the cutting device of pickled materials is characterized by installing nozzle cutters 2, 3 ejecting a high pressure water for cutting at the root side and tip end side of a conveyer dish 1 for conveying by loading the pickles A.
