PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable bush cutter which has good effects in the aspect of vibration prevention and strength and is light. SOLUTION: This portable bush cutter which has an operation rod comprising a hollow pipe at whose front and rear ends a cutting blade and a driving portion are disposed, respectively, longitudinally extending an output shaft for transmitting a power from the driving portion to the cutting blade in the operation rod, and supporting the output shaft with four or more elastic material bushes longitudinally mutually separately disposed in the operation rod is characterized by disposing the bushes on the boundaries between the adjacent regions, when the inside of the operation rod is longitudinally divided into a plurality of regions from the driving portion side to the cutting blade side, extending a liner in the cutting blade side region, forming a penetrated hole for inserting the output shaft therethrough in the center of the liner, and disposing a plurality of belt-like faces contacting with the inside of the operation rod and extended in the longitudinal direction on the outside of the liner in a state mutually separated in the circumferential direction.
