The device (1) for the fastening of insulating material elements on flat surfaces consists of a base component with edges extending in the longitudinal direction, whereby a fastening plate (7) is installed on the first edge (5), and engagement elements (8) on the second edge (6). The fastening plate extends in the main over the whole length of the first edge and has regularly spaced openings (11). The base component is constructed in rail form. The fastening plate has breaks which are regularly spaced in relation to one another and constructed at right angles.
