A manually controlled firing means for fireworks, signalling and other pyrotechnic devices comprises a primer 10, a striker 11 held in a safe position by a pivoted arm 14, and a pivoted lever 15 which on rotation engages a point intermediate the ends of the arm 14 thereby causing the arm 14 to retract the striker and stress a spring 13 until a position is reached in which the arm releases the striker. A removable cap 17 normally holds the lever and arm in a safe position. |
