An improved liner for protecting an electrode wire within a body of a weldin g torch. The liner includes a liner retainer, which is removably coupled to a liner insert. The liner retainer is secured to a distal end of the welding torch and the liner insert is inserted and coupled to the liner retainer through a proximal end of the welding torch.
