<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a printing paper sheet and ink from being wasted by useless printing due to errors in selecting the paper sheet, trial printing or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A printing apparatus 10 is equipped with a data communication part 11 for transmitting and receiving data to and from a printing controller 50 via a communication path 40, a printing part 15 for printing printing data received from the printing controller 50, a terminal end detecting part 20 for detecting a page end of the printing paper sheet and outputting a terminal end signal when it detects the page end, and a discarding process part 21 for discarding remaining printing data based on the terminal end signal received from the terminal end detecting part 20 in the middle of a printing process of the printing data.
