PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position information provision method and a position information provision system that can efficiently provide information on a position desired by a user.

SOLUTION: A user inputs a shop identifier of a shop the user desire to visit to transmit information from a mobile phone 10 to a management computer 21, which stores the information in a shop information storage section 24 based on mail addresses of a received shop identifier and the mobile phone 10 that has transmitted. An information management system 20 periodically obtains information on a user's position based on signals transmitted from the mobile phone 10, extracting a shop within a predetermined range from the user's present position to transmit the information on the shop to the mobile phone10.
