PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semi-processed drum fitting device which is self-positioned, easily positioned, and capable of fitting and working a semi-processed drum by an operator without a relative end pressure irrespective of the thickness of a wall of the semi-processed drum. SOLUTION: A fitting device 20 to fit a hollow workpiece 22 on a machine includes a circumferential groove 32 formed on an outer surface 30 of a cylindrical supporting and fixing tool 24 of the machine, a damping plug assembly 40 to be positioned on the inner side of the hollow workpiece adjacent to the cylindrical supporting and fixing tool, and an end pressure reducing device 50 which is fitted in the circumferential groove to centrifugally support the pressure induced by the machining from the end of the hollow workpiece, and reduce the pressure.
