PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage device capable of preventing leakage of stored data even when a persistent cracking attack to a password is made. SOLUTION: This storage device has: a data storage means storing data; a password information storage means storing prescribed password information used for access authorization to the data storage means; an access authorization means comparing password information received from an upper device and the prescribed password information, and performing the access authorization to the data storage means; a time interval measurement means measuring a reception time interval between the pieces of the password information received at intervals of time; a time interval prescribed value storage means storing a time interval prescribed value; a time interval comparison means comparing the time interval prescribed value and a time interval measurement value measured by the time interval measurement means; and an operation restriction means restricting prescribed operation of the storage device on the basis of a comparison result by the time interval comparison means.
