<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for exfoliating inexpensively with a simple constitution which is short in an axial direction. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 for exfoliating the insulating film of a conductive wire W covered with the insulating film includes a nozzle block 4 having a nozzle 7 for guiding the conductive wire in the axial direction, weights 9, 10 which turn the conductive wire W as a center and which radially move by a centrifugal force in association with the turning, and a cutter 12 disposed at a position opposed to the weights with the conductive wire W therebetween and having a cutter edge capable of being brought into pressure contact with the conductive wire W directly near the nozzle 7.
