PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grease composition excellent in high speed durability, high temperature durability, low temperature lubricity, sound and vibration properties, peel resistance and the like. SOLUTION: The grease composition for rolling bearings contains an ester oil or an ether oil as the base oil and hydrophilic silica fine particles as a thickener. The composition contains 4-20 mass% of the hydrophilic silica fine particles to the total amount of the composition. The worked penetration of the composition is 180-360.
