PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jetting apparatus from which a large quantity of minute liquid droplets can be jetted by arranging a plurality of piezoelectric/electrostrictive elements in a chamber and driving these elements at different timings without deteriorating the durability of these elements. SOLUTION: This liquid jetting apparatus 10 is provided with the chamber 10-3 and two piezoelectric/electrostrictive elements 11, 12 arranged in the chamber 10-3. Liquid is introduced into the chamber 10-3 and jetted from a liquid jetting hole 10-3a. A driving voltage signal is imparted to each of the elements 11, 12 in a cycle T1. A phase when the driving voltage signal is imparted to one of the elements 11, 12 is shifted only by T1/2 from the phase when the driving voltage signal is imparted to the other of the elements 12, 11. The liquid is jetted while being formed into minute particles by operating the elements 11, 12. The cycle of the pressure fluctuation in the chamber 10-3 becomes T1/2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
