METHOD AND A PROCEDURE FOR QUICKLY PERFORMING STATE TRANSITION FROM A SLEEP MODE TO AN AWAKE MODE IN A BROADBAND WIRELESS ACCESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, PARTICULARLY FOR MINIMIZING DELAY OF TRANSMISSION OF PACKET DATA ACCORDING TO AN OPERATION WHEN A STATE IS TRANSITED FROM A SLEEP MODE TO AN AWAKE MODE
摘要
PURPOSE: A method and procedure for quickly performing state transition from a sleep mode to an awake mode in a broadband wireless access communication system are provided to quickly perform state transition by using a previously allocated dedicated orthogonal code available to be used during a certain time. CONSTITUTION: A subscriber terminal(800) and a base station(850) are in an awake mode(811). When the base station(850) desires to be transited to a sleep mode, it transmits a sleep request message to the subscriber(800)(813). The subscriber terminal(800) determines whether to permit the state transition to the sleep mode of the base station(850) and transmits a corresponding sleep response message to the base station(850)(815). The subscriber terminal(800) and the base station(850) are transited from the awake mode to the sleep mode according to a start time value(817).
