PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for manufacturing an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) panel are provided to selectively form sticking-typed spacers on a desired region, such as, the region overlapping with a metal pattern, thereby reducing light leakage due to movement of spacer, by sticking the spacers to the regions using a drying unit and a blower. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for manufacturing an LCD comprises a spacer dispersing unit(82), a drying unit(88), and a blower(84). The spacer dispersing unit disperses sticking-typed spacers on a substrate where a metal pattern is formed. The drying unit dries the dispersed spacer using infrared rays under a predetermined temperature, thus firmly sticking the spacers to the substrate. The temperature ranges 120 to 140 °C. The blower selectively removes some sticking-typed spacers, which do not overlap with the metal patterns.
