PURPOSE: A pneumatic suspension is provided to execute the function of a damper without shock by finely regulating and changing linearly pneumatic pressure and to utilize effectively an outer space by installing a spring in a cylinder. CONSTITUTION: A pneumatic suspension is composed of a cylinder(12) connected to a vehicle body or an axle; a piston(14) reciprocating in the cylinder according to vibration of a vehicle; a piston rod(16) connected to the piston and projected out of the cylinder; a main spring(18) mounted in the cylinder to absorb shock; a sensing unit(20) for detecting the position and change degree of the piston; an air nozzle(32) connected to an actuator to supply the air to the inside of the cylinder according to the position and change degree of the piston; an air passage(34) for connecting upper and lower ends of the cylinder to communicate the air contained in upper and lower spaces of the piston; and a solenoid valve(36) for opening and closing the air passage.
