<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and program for creating an image for a stereoscopic video for displaying a laterally long stereoscopic video on a big screen to a viewer at the time of displaying an image for the right eye and an image for the left eye having binocular parallax to the viewer. <P>SOLUTION: The image for the right eye which generates light that is made incident on the right eye of the viewer and the image for the left eye which generates light that is made incident on the left eye of the viewer are arranged vertically side by side to create one image for a stereoscopic video. The size of the images may be adapted for the display area of a video projector for displaying images for a stereoscopic video, and image deformation processing such as image turning deformation and color tone changing may be applied to the image for the right eye or the image for the left eye. In creating the image for a stereoscopic video, the depth of the stereoscopic video can be adjusted by arranging the image for the right eye and the image for the left eye while relatively shifting the images for the right and left eyes in a parallax direction in which binocular parallax between the images for the right and left eyes occurs. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
