<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To regenerate a DPF and to prevent a damage of the DPF by relieving the thermal shock of the DPF. <P>SOLUTION: A heater 7, an oxidation catalyst 2, a heater 8 and the DPF 3 are arranged in this order in the flow direction of exhaust gas inside a cylindrical body 1. The temperature of exhaust gas flowing into the oxidation catalyst 2, and the temperature of exhaust gas flowing into the DPF 3 can thereby be individually controlled, and the temperature of the DPF 3 can be maintained to a certain fixed temperature or higher. The DPF 3 can thereby be regenerated while relieving the thermal shock of the DPF 3 to prevent the damage of the DPF 3, and useful life longevity over a long period of time can be lengthened. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
